MomSave is a personal budgeting and savings app designed for parents. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information stored on your device

When you use MomSave, you provide personal and financial profile information such as your first name, country, income range, expenses, and savings goals. This information is stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to it, and it is not transmitted to any server unless explicitly described below.

2.2 Information collected via our website

If you choose to join our waitlist, take our quiz, or subscribe to our newsletter on the MomSave website, we collect your email address. This is used solely to notify you about the app launch and relevant updates. Your email is not required to use the app and is stored separately from any app data.

2.3 Information sent to third-party services from the app

The app communicates with the following service providers:

• Firebase / Google Cloud (EU + US)— anonymous identification, security checks, and hosting of our AI relay server.
• xAI (US)— generates Mumwise AI responses. Your message is sent at the moment of use; nothing is retained.
• RevenueCat (US)— manages your Premium subscription status. No payment details are shared with us.
• Mixpanel (US)— pseudonymous app analytics. No name, email, or financial values are shared.

Transfers to the US are safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

The MomSave app does not require an email address, password, or account to use. We do not collect bank or payment card details, precise location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers through the app. We do not serve ads and we do not sell, share, or rent your data to third parties.

4. How and Why We Use Your Information

We process your data on the following legal bases:

• Performance of the contract— to provide the app's core features (daily budget, goals, AI chat).
• Legitimate interest— to understand usage patterns and improve the app (you can object at any time).
• Consent— for newsletter and waitlist emails (you can withdraw at any time).
• Legal obligation— to manage subscriptions in compliance with tax and consumer law.

Specifically, we use the data to:

• Calculate your personalised daily budget and savings plan
• Provide AI-powered financial guidance through Mumwise
• Understand how the app is used and identify areas for improvement
• Manage your subscription status
• Send launch and product updates if you joined our waitlist or newsletter

5. Data Retention

• Local dataremains on your device until you delete the app or use the “Reset Progress” feature in Settings.
• Email data collected via our website is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
• Analytics data is retained by our analytics provider in accordance with their standard retention policies. You may request deletion by contacting us.
• AI chat data is not retained. It is processed in memory and discarded once a response is generated.

6. Data Security

All data transmitted from the app is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Data stored on your device is protected by the iOS application sandbox and is not accessible to other apps.

7. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
• Eraseyour data (“right to be forgotten”)
• Restrict or object to certain types of processing
• Portability— receive your data in a structured, commonly used format
• Withdraw consent at any time (for processing based on consent)

8. Children's Privacy

MomSave is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
